In the heat of battle with your friends are you skilled at distracting them?

Occasionally like to see if someone will bite on that unit out there all by itself…

Dont pay attention over here

Occasionally, and sometimes it even works :) At the school club many years ago in a massive Iran/Iraq game we managed to sneak an Iraqi ATGW unit through the front line and into the enemy rear by being careful to move when the enemy were concentrating somewhere else. Took out the Iranian division HQ and precipitated the collapse if their army it did :)

Managed to sneak a Cossack unit around the rear while my winged hussars and pancerni demonstrated in front. Silly boy didn't think 10 figures of Cossacks would cause much concern because according to the rules, light cavalry could NOT frontally assault formed infantry. He neglected to observe that the Cossacks were not assaulting them frontally, by the time he realized his mistake the Cossacks were sabering his infantry.

I thought you meant by starting an inane conversation or perhaps passing wind. In that case then yes. :)

Usually my mixing drinks for my friends is a sufficient distraction .

My brother and I once played a game of Song of Blades in which we had to search three wooded areas for some treasure. One of the woods had nothing, one had the treasure, and one had a very big and angry troll. My brother managed to grab the treasure while keeping my skeletons between his men and the troll. Needless to say, a 30' troll with a massive axe is quite distracting.

I turn on Monty Python and the Holy Grail when I am losing. Game is usually abandoned…

I'll ask if anyone needs another beer. That always works.

At our LGS there was a young woman who was running a Warhammer 40K army. On tournament days, she would show up in a red plaid school girl outfit with a "hand cuff" belt. Needless to say, that "distraction" one her a few battles…
