I have just finished adding a few Empress USA troops to my collection. Have posted some comparison photos for anyone on the fence. The short is, I found the USA troops compatible, but not the NVA. Overall, I like both.

Good looking figures. Actually to my eye, the NVA look compatible.

Thanks Jason.

That's just the kind of information I need to make a purchasing decision.

The U.S. looks spot on. The first thing I look at is the weapon and it their case the M-16 compare well.

I would say the same thing for the AK-47, however, the figure bulk of the NVA looks a little light.

Although it was suggested that Regular NVA were better built than the rural types that made up VC, I think they were still usually much slighter than the US military. Any photo of the two together (eg Tet Hue with escorted POWs or dragging out corpses of NLF) certainly reinforces that.

I really do like to see such model figure comparisons. 28mm can vary enormously, but, especially with careful selection of figures and a "uniform" style of painting, most can mix and match.

I have added a Revell 1/48 Huey to the Empress & West Wind figures. I find the model's size fits the ranges nicely.
