Well about half the size of that battle! Prussians v Russians Seven Years War, none the less!

We had a very bloody encounter today at our club, I have done a report of the game at my blog at this link

Enjoy!

Nice game write up. Makes me keep thinking having Prussians and Russians and no French forces to refight the 7YW battles with 1813 armies.

Looks like a great game!

I really like your hills. Where did you get them?

Sorry if I missed it, but what rules did you use?

Cheers guys, the hills are from S&A scenics, very light and durable! scenics.co.uk
The rules are my own, freely downloadable from our club website at this link

@ 14Bore: there are plenty of great 7YW battles to recreate! – Have fun with your new project!

Well Herky, practice makes perfect, and I second Desert Fox, where did you get the hills?

Er..

Cheers guys, the hills are from S&A scenics, very light and durable! scenics.co.uk

They really are ideal for fighting on!

Sorry, hells bells Herky, I'm having a hard enough time remembering what I had for breakfast. (smile)

Many thanks both for this posting, and for a site which I'll explore at length. One thing I'd have found really useful at the start of the photo-sequence would have been an aerial view of the whole field or, should it prove too extensive, some kind of map/plan/diagram of the whole (it can, I know, be largely deduced from comparisons among the first few pictures). Plenty of images well balanced between distant and close enough to study painting with admiration and not a little envy. Good Luck.

Thanks Robert. I actually took pictures of the table at game start, but one was badly blurred, and the camera ate one, or it failed to take!

These things happen! Looking forward to future reports &a pictures.

My favorite SYW battle. I want to game it one of these days and even visit the battlefield one day.
