Well now we know. Much suggestion of something rather novel coming from Gringos40 and I had not the slightest idea what was planned. This strikes me as inspired and I suspect we will have to work out how to do the MPs' helmet numerals and stripes. The suggestion also seems to be that there are more to come. I particularly like the figure dragging his wounded comrade. That was one I really did plan to create anyway….no need now! They are very distinctive as they come without the kit that the Marines exhibit, eg waterbottles.
Better views of the new figures here; link Nice to see they have modelled the left shoulder markings.
But those helmets…..now if someone could come up with decals/transfers. |

WOW !!!!! That MP Shoulder device is called a "Brassard", IIRC. We were all issued them when we deployed to the DMZ, ROK. We wore them most of the time. As the "Truce" said only MPs could be on the DMZ. I still have mine hanging on the wall. |

Thanks Ged ! I had two tours on the ROK DMZ, '84 & '85. With a US Army M113 Mech Bn. Those 22 months in the ROK I served in my distant youth, were some of my "strongest" memories of my 10+ years on active duty. Some real soldiering was done there. |

I now see another group added to the range….the attackers to take on the defenders. Good to see one down already, by the look of him (although the site suggests he is firing from cover)

Just found a bigger picture on the website. He is somewhere between prone (face down) and supine (face up) but he is indeed still firing his AK, not expiring. What a well thought out pose as a result. Very unusual and not sure I have ever seen that in miniature before, but he looks like he is taking cover seriously! I could see him next to one of those concrete planters in the Embassy grounds. I have just found some new command figures for the NVA as well! Someone has been busy despite everything. An officer with a whistle, flag bearer and a bugler. Nice indeed! |

thanks Liam agreed he is an unusual pose and as mentioned he was indeed intended for "behind the giant pot,as some of the most serious fighting took place amongst these, providing superb cover. cheers Ged gringo40s.com gringo40s.blogspot.com
