Really? No one's going to say it? Well, that was my first thought, until I read that The new "mini-moon" is an asteroid called 2020 CD3. It's about 1.9 to 3.5 metres in diameter, roughly between the size of a cow and a hippopotamus. – far too small for a death star (approx 160km dia according to wookieepedia), but just about right for a phone booth! |
Dn Jackson | 27 Feb 2020 11:31 p.m. PST |
Its size is fine for a death star. It's for destroying really, really, small rebellions. |

Not saying its Aliens, but its Aliens |

I'm sure work has already commenced on Cowpotamus! a tv movie about mooing monsters invading the Earth from space. The pitch: "It's sort of a Shaknado vibe, but with a giant cow-hippo destroying Manhattan!" |

It's the new Doctor coming down to lecture us on global warming/diversity/Brexit/whatever is in the Guardian editorial this week…. |

I shall call it, Mini-Moon. |

I seem to recall a sci-fi story I read way to many years ago. The aliens were planning an invasion of earth. The story told of their invasion plan based on sending their most advanced ship with a massive army on board. If I recall correctly, the ship ended up being about that size. |

Well, if you are a fan of Men in Black, it could be a whole galaxy, or another universe, on a slightly smaller scale. My bet is on an alien probe to keep track of us, just for grins, since one must constantly monitor "Red Zones". |

I am so glad I read this thread. I will cherish the Cowpotamus for ever, even if this turns out not to be one! andy |
