Early Napoleonic Spanish grenadier were famous for elaborately embroidered bags hanging from their bearskin caps. Were these of standard or regimental design? Were they based on the regimental facing colour? Is there a reference source for these designs?
thank you

I have seen some great freehand, but I don't even attempt that kind of thing – I make my own decals. I had to simplify the design, otherwise it just looked like a mess (18mm AB figures)

Good luck

In the Funken book series, the bags are shown in regimental colors.
