It's weird that although it's not hard to find plastic Crusades miniatures I don't know of anybody selling plastic Turcopoles. Do you?

If not, are there any plastic kits that are "close enough" to make turcopoles? I have a number of weapons and heads from other medieval kits that I could use to kitbash. It feels like it shouldn't be all that difficult, as Turcopoles seem to be pretty much generic light cavalry.

Am I wrong? Are there some distinctive features or armaments that characterize them?

On the Saracen side, did Turcopoles serve any tactical function that isn't covered by the Seljuk or Arab light cavalry?

(What I'm really asking is, can I just not provide any Turcopoles for the Saracen team? They already have plenty of light cavalry.)

If plastic Turcopoles do not exist I am willing to look at your favorite metal Turcopoles.

These plastic Arab cavalry by Gripping Beast might do with a little modification.

I pester Fireforge every chance I get about making plastic Turcopoles to finish out their crusade lines. On Facebook, on their website; they keep telling me soon, they are working on them. Over 2 years now! Perry are nice but a tad small compared to Fireforge which is what I have every Military Order done in, plus generic crusaders. Yep, I have a problem, an addiction to their figs!!
