I've started building a terrain board of the Brecourt Manor battle on D-Day when Lt. Winters and elements of the 506 PIR attacked a battery of German guns. I'm basing the model on what you see in the Band of Brothers episode Day of Days.
I've made pretty good progress and have now more or less completed the German trenches and the base grass layer.
I've posted a number of blog posts at allhellletloose.co.uk and will add more as I progress.
I intend to refight the battle at 1-2-1 with 6mm figures, possibly as a participation game at UK shows.
