German Landsknechts in their famous pluderhosen fought on both sides during the early part of the 80 years War in The Netherlands, roughly the period 1568-1588.
What kind of flags may they have carried; did they carry flags with designs of their choice like hometowns or captains's or colonel's designs. Or would the design of the flags have been dominated by the symbols of Spaniards or Dutch/Orangists.

The same question one may have regarding the reiter troops.
