Thanks Armand. I live very close to Waterford and know the history of the area quite well. It's refreshing to see someone else take an interest in re-posting something of our local history here for others to read about.

My paternal Grandad knew all about Waterford in the Civil War, as did my Mom about Tipperary next door. But it was a different Civil War, thousands of miles to the East, and their families were on opposing sides too.

Great story. Armand I will now rate you 70/30 for treasures vs rubbish….that is along way from my original 40/60 split years ago.

The destruction in Loudoun County probably had less impact on Mosby's raids that the wounding of Mosby shortly afterwards.
