Here is a set of photos of one sprue of the new Wargames Atlantic plastic Persians made into a sort of detachable vignette – figures coming out soon.

Victrix 28mm infantry are due out this year. It's a good year for Persians!

Thank you!

Very nice. They remind me a lot of Vendel's Persians from 15 or years ago. Anybody know of Colin Patten sculpted these?

Beautiful work.

I think Bob Naismith is their sculpter, IIRC.

sure look like vendel

Vendel are much larger and thicker than these new plastic Persians, here is a comparison image:

Wow, that Vendel figure is way larger than the Victrix Greeks.

There is a bit of fore shortening here- the Victrix and Vendel are closer to the same height. The Vendel is super thick- like all their figures- solid as a rock. I will try to get a photo posted that shows them side by side.

I really wanted to show these Wargames Atlantic are in tune with most other Persians like Old Glory (behind) and Foundry- and probably will mix with future releases.

Here is more straight on shot which shows Vendel and Victrix more side by side, as I said the Vendel's girth and thickness is more a factor than height.
