I have a few sets of needle files, my favourites being some tiny (80mm I think) which are ideally sized for working on metal figures.

The only issue is that they are coarser than I would like, about the same as all my sets, and they leave files marks in the soft metal that I have to finish off with wet and dry.

Anyone know of some small fine needle files.

The only ones that I have found that actually specify the grit are Eze-Lap which claim to be 600 grit.

Has anyone tried these, are they really 600 grit, sounds like a silly question but I have seen Amazon reviews that say no way. By 600 grit I would be expecting them to be as fine as 600 grit wet and dry paper.

Browse the Micro-Mark website, if you haven't already. It's a treasure trove of modeling tools.
