I recently painted a set of 40mm Sash & Saber AWI troops after so many visits to the colonial parks. I am not a great painter or a uniform scholar, just completed this for personal amusement. I wanted to say however, to any of those starting out, the figures are very nice, affordable and the service from Old Glory 25s is outstanding.

I also wanted to push some light on Yorktown battlefield. It is falling into quite a bit of neglect and does not resemble the adventure among the trenches it once did for the average visitor. Still worth a visit, but I would say it's most enjoyable to miniature collectors and wargamers, because it leaves much to the imagination. My site is below for those looking for photos. Thank you and happy gaming.

40mm Sash and Saber AWI are great. Priced nice too.
Sad to hear the Yorktown battlefield is being neglected. Spent a year there at the Coast Guard training center and was in the park daily. Thanks for sharing your link.

Yorktown was our Staff Ride at the Transportation Officer Basic Course in 1994. Assisted by no less than Ben King, fellow wargamer.

I like your figures. 40mm is a tough scale, in my opinion.

Best of luck with this project.

Eric
