I need a very obscure figure. I'm trying to find a 25mm figure (compatible in size with Mirliton's 25mm Italian War of Independence figures) that I can use for Garibaldi's Sicilian volunteers. The illustration that I have (from Luigi Casali's book "Red Shirts") shows a figure with an open jack and a shirt underneath it, pants and black boots. The head gear is a cap that hangs down to the shoulder on one side. There is a strap across the chest with an ammo pouch at the waist. The figure has a musket. I was thinking that perhaps a 25mm Zouave in stocking cap might work but so far I haven't been able to find any. But I need a figure in pants, not pantaloons. I know it's a long shot but if anyone can recommend a suitable figure I'd be grateful. TIA. |

Hello Bob, not sure whether this helps, but this company (shako64 – shako64.com/) did a Kickstarter with (amongst many others) Sicilians. The site does not show those yet, but if you can reach their Kickstarter you can probably see what is coming (the Kickstarter already has ended). Regards, Luc. |

Don't know if size matches, but have you considered Irregular Miniatures irregularminiatures.co.uk Garibaldists in their Italian Unification 28mm line? Jim |

I'm not sure how Irregular's 28mm compare to Mirliton's 25mm figures, but it turns out that Shako64 shako64.com/pledge-manager makes the Sicilian figures I was looking for and they appear to be compatible in size with Mirliton's figures. Shako64 has a nice range of Garibaldini and Neapolitan figures. |
