I've just put up a short report on a game I had today with a complete newbie to the rules and the period: link |

What figures are you using? |

@79thPA: They are the War in the Pacific range from Outpost Miniatures, with some bits and pieces from their ACW & FPW ranges. Rules are available here: link |

Great to see this neglected war getting some tabletop action. I've long coveted some yellow-jacketed Bolivian cuirassiers and the three battalions of Bolivian presidential guards in their three different red, yellow and green uniforms. Hard to justify for just one battle, sadly – though in my favoured 6mm it's hardly a huge expense … hmmm … (I'm sure I've complimented your llamas before.) What do you mean one battle? There's loads of battles. Well, not so many with the Bolivians, but the Peruvians and Chileans are at it quite a bit. I do have Bolivian Cuirassiers and the Red/Yellow/Green Bolivian regiments. After all, why wouldn't you? I do like 6mm, but you can't really paint the gold lace on the generals as much as you need. The 10mm Pendrakens look nice. |

The Bolivians are only really in action at Tacna, right? That's the one battle I meant. I think all my WotP games have been fought between 1870 French Chileans and ACW Peruvians! Chris |
