"Why do you keep buying miniatures?" Topic

I think he may have got forums mixed up. No frothing here …

I personally love the sculpting of the figures.

They really are miniature statues. Works of art.

I don't see too many museums being asked why they have large collections …

I have arrived at a point where I am not spending a lot at the cons I go to, I have a list of things I "need" that's generally less then $75. USD I still stand in line to get into the Flea market but your going to have to throw an item at me to take it. And if a FM or vendor does not have prices, posted then I am not going to ask.

I buy them so the poor manufacturers can put food on the table and have a pension fund for when they retire. Which is more than I have because I spend all my spare cash on figures and wargaming stuff.

Because they keep bringing new ones out!

I'm about this close to dumping all my collections of miniatures. In the last weeks I have already plastic boxed all the collections and mothballed them into the crawl space. All the unfinished projects unpainted unbased undone. All the shelving unit on the wall has come down, and my motorized game table to the ceiling is also coming down and being disabled.
The projector pointing downward from the ceiling is also coming down and I am ceasing all map production via the computer/projector idea.

Curious to know what does anyone think the result is of doing this.
