Yes, I saw this as well and enjoyed. Especially interesting for the infantry dealing with armor. Also glad there was no cheesy romance angle that I have seen with other Russian war movies. |

Not a movie but a series The Attackers. Available online those of us with Amazon Prime memberships can stream the series for no charge, at least season 1. I am half way through the 12 episode first season (each episode runs about 43 minutes).

Mserafon, agree, emotional movie. The viewpoint of the villagers and partisans is raw and unusual. The crawl through the bog brought a new appreciation for the endurance of the characters. So many villages. Sad. |

I question the use of term "punishers" by Cuprum2. This implies wrong doing on part of the villagers. Rather it was nazi policy to butcher the civilians. After watching Come and See you can perhaps understand better why the Russians treated the Germans in East Prussian and on towards Berlin so badly. Spoiler, so you might watch the move and not fear for the boy He is not shot, that is just a pose for the poster. |

"He is not shot…" Yes, and that's sort of the point – it's just casual, unthinking sadism on the Germans' part. They think so little of the kid as a human they don't even bother to shoot him. I suspect I'll be watching this again soon. |

Bobgnar I know that my English is not perfect))) But for the Nazis, all Slavs were subhuman. These territories were intended for settlement by residents of the "Aryan race". All Slavs were subject to destruction or eviction to Siberia.

That Finnish film I watched a few nights ago. Really good. Those Stugs have no problems brewing up T34s, but the attention to detail is excellent. Good action sequences but, as someone said about Close Contact (the Aussies in Vietnam) that does not compensate for the total failure to develop any single character in the film. |

Read Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, and gets me looking up people and places on what I'm reading. So look up Walter Schellenberg and find out he is portrayed in a Russian series Seventeen Moments in Spring.
