so trying to get some figs for gaming Bulge or winter-time Italy. looking for figs on the small side of 20mm (e.g. close to Matchbox 1/76).

does anybody make GIs with the brown overcoats?
German regular infantry in greatcoats?

Thanks, Dan

Britannia Miniatures may be your best bet. Not to everyone's taste, but I like them…

Have you looked at the AB Germans in greatcoats and also in winter camouflage?

While AB are nice (I have some) they are at the larger end of the spectrum, hence the recommendation for Britannia to fit in with the OPs requirements

Thanks for references. I've bought some AB before and they are just too close to 20mm or 1/72. definitely bigger than Matchbox.

What you want are SHQ

or maybe FAA

Brittannia are pretty big. SHQ are 1/76th though.

Definitely SHQ Miniatures if you want figures on the smaller side of 20mm.

Wargames Foundry fo WW2 US in great coats in 20mm. They are a range sculpted by the Perry twins, so nice figures. I have a platoon in my 20mm US army and they are nearly as good as the AB figures and a little smaller

And Germans as well:

ah, yes, forgot about SHQ. Yes, definitely good options for Germans in greatcoats. Did not see any Americans in greatcoats however.

I"ll check out Wargames Foundry

Question: how do Wargames Foundry compare in size to SHQ?
