For those of you not already aware Hobbycraft, the UK arts, crafts and model shops have obtained a stock of Zvezda 1/100mm or 15mm kits. As I understand some of these are hard to get hold of and are frequently are advertised as unavailable.

Hobbycraft at Norwich today (see dateline) had several:

British 2-pounder anti-tank gun and crew
Matilda II
British Infantry
German Panther G (it said) but the illustration on the back appeared to be a 'D'
US Sherman with 76mm
Tiger II with Henschel turret.
All £5.00 GBP
I grabbed one of the Tigers for Normandy but the rest did not suit me. The Tiger appears crisp but lacks zimmerit. I will probably fill the interior of the hull with superglue, sand and a little liquid plaster of Paris before I glue the hull top on. I find this gives 15mm tanks a nice weight and stops them slipping down hills.

Looking online:

I see different stock available nationally but with some 'buy 2 models for £8.00 GBP' deals.
Beware, some of the online tanks are 1:72 especially the snap-fit King Tiger for £10.99 GBP.

Get 'em while they are available! :)

Crikey … £5.00 GBP a pop for Art Of Tactic 1:100 WW2 … that's 25% higher than models2U (my usual source, who seem good, generally, for stock)

But postage-free if you just want the odd model, as I did!

Online their rate appears to be two models for £8.00 GBP

The Panther G is indeed actually a D, and a very early production version at that. They ate lovely models though, I have four of them.

@Martin Rapier:
Thank you.
I had suspected it. I will pass as I am doing Normandy and the chances of an early D getting to Normandy are poor. Not impossible, merely poor!

Correcting myself:
I have discovered that at least one early D DID serve in Normandy.

Never say never!
