I have a question about the size of the Dhows that fought at the battle of Diu (India) in 1509. Since Dhows range in size considerably (18 to 50 feet in length) and there are many types of Dhow I was wondering what type or size of Dhow was likely to be present at that battle. There were quite a few of them so it could be a variety of sizes or it could be that only one size was commonly used for military purposes.
