I posted my photo review of Fort Pickens in Pensacola Bay Florida. It is one of the few forts in the south that didn't fall to the Confederates at the start of the war link

That place Looks very impressive, even with the damage

As always, very nice pics and commentary. It is sad that so many of the earlier forts were damaged to house the Endicott
fortifications but they have a certain industrial functional beauty of their own. We had to be ready for Kaiser Bill if he came.

Normal Guy, It was just me……I got lots of funny looks from people for running everywhere and stopping only to take pictures.
