The ACW is not a main stream interest of mine: I have about 300-400 painted figures for each of the two sides. These are mostly 1/72 plastic with a leavening of Wodenfield metals. One of my pals in particular is a very keen adherent of the period so our little group is working up to a mega game (Antietam, we think) for our local show next year. I was lucky to be gifted a large number of Stone Mountain miniatures from a friend who'd bought them years ago for a stalled project. These are, I believe, early figures; no longer in production? However, they match the 1/72 figures very well in terms of height & girth. I am pleased with them & will start adding them to the strength which will probably double my numbers. As I said, I do like the figures & you can't argue with the price. |

I used to game ACW with Stone Mountain years ago and still have many of the figures I used back then. I switched to 28mm probably 12-13 years ago so my Stone Mountain and Frontier figures have been retired for a good while. I liked the SM for the ease of painting and the style of the sculpts. |

I have a bunch of Stone Mountain figs I bought probably 20 years ago – I love the look of them and they paint up very well |

They paint up well, have loads of character. There is loads of variety and the artillery and logistical vehicles have pretty much anything you could need or want. Some of the best 15mm ACW you can get. |

The old Stone Mountain figures are great. They make up a major part of my collection. It's to bad they are currently not in production. Another option that fits well is the RSM line. |

Unless something has happened that I'm not aware of, Stone Mountain minis are available here…. wargamingminiatures.com |

For 20+ years, I stocked the Stone Mountain ranges. Everything including Adler that I carried I sold. The 1/72, I believe, was one of the early ranges they carried. I stocked mainly 15mm. You will like them. |

I believe we were talking about the 22mm and not the 15mm range. |

Well, I am talking about the 22mm figures. My 'Gift" figures are entirely compatible with my 1/72 plastics & are, indeed, lovely sculpts. I have no plans to further expand my ACW forces as this stash covered everything I wanted to get…..however, I've said this before & back pedalled & bought more figures so I might keep an eye open on EBay for any more SM figures. |

I believe they were also marketed as Musket Miniatures as well. |

Yes they are the same basic castings since the Musket Miniature owners had been part of Stone Mtn before they split. The 1/72 were one of the first ranges along with train related items. The 15mm came later and were clearly modeled on the 1/72 range. Vcarter I knew exactly what the thread was about. |

Rudy, Sorry for any confusion. You were very clear. I was referring to a post higher up the thread that praised them for being "some of the best 15mm you can get". Thanks, Vince |

The 22mm figures were the original figure line offer by us. They continued to be produced by us until 1990, when Jim left the company. Part of his compensation was the 22mm ACW figure line. He then produced them under the musket miniatures name until he sold the line to another individual. I'm not sure about the current status of the 22mm figures. I hope this clears-up any confusion. I still have a rather large number of the 22mm figures(unpainted), that I might be selling in the near future. I have to inventory and determine which ones are expendable(I know I have more artillery than I need). Obviousily, the 15mm ACW line is still available and is expanbding with new sculpts and equipment. Dave B. WargamingMiniatures.com |

I believe the guy who purchased them had ever intention of making them available on his website that he set up musketminiatures.biz The website is now defunct as I don't think he had much success with people making orders. He did have the entire line listed on it at one stage. If you look up Musket Miniatures on Facebook you'll find him there or his contact email is kriskaonis@gmail.com I believe he's based in California |

Darn shame. I really liked the MexAmWar figures that they made. |
