By that time, 200,000 Russian troops had invaded the country and 50,000 troops were on the border. 160,000 Austrian troops were active in various parts of the country, owning several important fortifications. Against the two armies, the Hungarian army of 150,000 had to fight, so that they could not count on recruiting or outside help…."
