The first episode was tolerable, the 2nd episode really went down hill, the 3rd episode was the most horrible piece of trash I have ever watched !! Horribly acted also and a total waste of time !! Why even call it "Dracula??"

Thanks for the warning – it did look pretty cheesy on the trailer

"I'm undead, not unreasonable" in the trailer put me right off. Critics in the UK seem to love it though.

I get a feeling a whole lot of writers seem to think they are oh so much smarter than the original material and then demonstrate to the entire world they are not.

Typical Gatiss and Moffat, they are good at freshening up a topic like Who and Sherlock and then get carried away with overly baroque worldbuilding.

It's not terrible but it does lose traction at some point. It felt like they had one or two really good ideas in the brainstorming session and instead of building from those they tried to put in ten others that were really bad.

I thought Sister Agatha was fantastic!
But only as Sister Agatha, not as her latterday embodiment.

I watched all 3 EPs so I didn't hate it at all, but did feel the 3rd EP was the weakest.

Gave up after 30 minutes of the first episode and watched Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee instead.

I thought that the first episode was entertaining, in a tongue-in-cheek way.

Oh man I was hoping that it could be good.

I give the first episode a B- only because of the atmosphere and set design of Borga Pass and the counts castle -- excellent!!
The 2nd episode -- D- --began to go down hill fast as the trip to England on the " cargo" ship the Dmrtri begin to look more like a "mini Titanic" episode and the count began to take on his humorous stand up comedian persona.
The 3rd episode --- F – – – just totally collapsed into a heap of stupidity and total plot disconnect as the count went total Rodney Dangerfield on us -- or a James Bond in modern England that just happens to be a Vampire wielding his cell phone and iPad ???? Just stupid!!

Just horrible and the worst--and remember I have watched Blackula?

The only reason I did not shut it off is I am by nature just not a quitter no matter how much I suffer and it hurts.

Also I hate any movie that starts slipping in agendas concerning social and moral issues!

Thanks for this thread as I had considered watching it. However when I saw the trailer, I already began to have my doubts. Now….I will take a pass.

I thought it was quite fun overall although the 3rd episode kind of jumped the shark

I really enjoyed it….the third episode was the weakest but overall the series was entertaining.

I imagine if you take Dracula seriously you wouldn't like it but then again, if you take Dracula seriously………
