Looking at Normandy and 17th SS PzG in particular

I read the Oak Leaf helmet covers were reversible Autumn/Spring. If so, thoughts on which I should paint for Carentan?

From my research papers

Both Oak and Plane Tree Variants were produced for most of the war. Aside from Lateral Block variants (Think SSVT) Palm and Plane Tree were the first camo patterns to be issued in large numbers. Blurred edge being the most common

'Palm' Pattern: "Palmenmuster" 1938-1942 -Smocks, Helmet Covers

Plane Tree Pattern (incl variants, 1/2, 5/6, laterals), : "Planatenmuster"
1940-1944 -Smocks, Helmet Covers, Caps, Zelts

Blurred Edge: "Rauchtarnmuster" 1941-1944 -Smocks, Pants, Helmet Covers,
Caps, Zelts, Mittens

Oak (Variants ex. a, b): "Eichenlaubmuster" 1941-1944 -Smocks, Tunics,
Wraps, Pants, Helmet Covers, Caps, Zelts, Mittens

'Pea-Dot' 44 Camo: "Erbsentarnmuster" 1944- Tunic and Pant sets, Wraps,
Mittens

Leibermuster": 1944-1945 -M45s, Pants, and I've seen a Parka.

Italian camo would be the summer 1943 only uniforms

Cheers

Thanks

Also I've seen Pea Dot in a more Olive version and a more Tan version, at least looking at photos and the ARTIZAN guides.

Thoughts on that?

I will check my books for you mate as I am building 17th SS this year, But plane tree 1 was the most common followed by oak b Type 2.

Great

Any advise much appreciated. About to start painting on Offensive 28mms ASAP

Here is what I have

THE PEA DOT, AS I READ IT, WAS ONE VERSION PER THE ONE SLIDE FROM THE ARTIZAN SITE. But then there appear more olive and also more tan versions???

To make things a bit MIS-MATCH LETS SAY -
1/4 – PEA DOT PANTS AND FIELD GREY SMOCKS
1/4 – PEA DOT SMOCKS AND FIELD GREY PANTS
1/4 – BOTH PEA DOT PANTS AND SMOCKS.
1/4 – BOTH FIELD GREY PANTS AND SMOCKS

Then helmet covers in Oak Leaf Spring.

Any comments on that welcome. Again, this is for 17th SS at Carentan.
