Not really spaceships but thought these might be of interest, I finally managed to get some space-mines made for use in my games.

I have put a little post about how I made them on my site -

Nice and simple, and good looking. I don't know if your rules cover this, but you could put 2 or 3 on some of bases to represent mine fields that are more dense.

Neat!

@Stryderg thanks, in the next supplement that should be out soon there are four types of mines! but I hadn't thought about adding more than one mine to a base, I just added more bases to make the mine-fields more dense! ;O)

@Andrew Walters thanks, they were really simple to make which was a big plus for me.

Those look great! And I just downloaded free scenarios #5 for S&L from Wargamers Vault.

Any suggestions on how I could adapt the Pirate supplement to use in Full Thrust??? Went ahead and purchased a copy but wonder if you may have some thoughts on my question.

Thanks,
Mark

@thedrake Hi Mark, Thanks for getting the Pirate supplement, it is a fun add-on to the main rules, and I hope you enjoy the scenarios as well.

Well as I mention in all my supplements and scenarios you could probably use your own rules system with a little work, and that is true with Full Thrust, the main thing is the ships and they transfer over fairly easily, main work is with the weapons…

So for Pirates I would suggest the Anti-ship Torpedo packs are replaced with Submunition Packs, PDS is basically an Area Defence AF system that can destroy missiles as well.

Shields in Stars & Lasers are similar to Defensive Screens, also Missiles and Hardpoints are on the same lines as Pulse torpedoes.

Ship class and hull size should basically be transferable although the Full Thrust ships have slightly more damage points, but this shouldn't matter.

I would keep most of the Pirates weapons as "B" Beams except maybe the biggest ships they could probably have an "A" or two.

And the Pirate Clipper could be something like a Courier Class ship with a "C" Beam.

I would try and keep weapon numbers similar to the Pirates in Stars & Lasers, remember these are not meant to be big military ships.

I hope that helps.

Hi Mac,

Sorry for late reply as just seeing your response. Thank you for tips on converting to FT. I already run a pirate faction based on one I saw in old book "Great Space Battles", the Capellan raiders. Will review your suggestions and see what matches up and what can be added in.

@thedrake I hope you find the suggestions useful and you manage to use the Pirates in Full Thrust.
