I have a number of Newline miniatures from their original lines (pre-2009 or so) and I quite like them. I know they were sold to SHQ. I now find that I would like to fill out some gaps in what I have -- but they no longer appear on the SHQ website and it appears the owner, Peter, is retiring and selling off acquired ranges and ultimately the SHQ lines. Did anyone pick up the old SHQ ancient ranges? I see that Newline has "new" 28mm ancients… I am hoping they are compatible even though they are different from the originals (for example, I looked at the new Parthian cataphracts and they seem to have different helmets. armor, etc.). Thanks in advance for any help |

My understanding is that the 28 mm ex-Newline ancients lines SHQ sold were returned to Newline and are the 28mm ancients Newline currently sells. I can't report on most of the ancients lines, but I bought some 28mm Ancient Greeks from SHQ, and more recently bought some from Newline and they are definitely the same figures. |

Contact Sean at Newline. Last I heard Sean was getting his old 28mm lines back, they might be available but not yet up on the website. |

Gentlemen, I am glad to learn that Newline owns those ranges again. I think when I ordered them, they were individual codes rather than by packs, so some of the figures I have may not be shown in the photos. I will follow up with Sean at Newline. Thanks for the help! |
