I have been mulling various Victorian to 1920s to modern pulp projects, and have decided on what might be a unifying theme to try: the John Carpenter Cinematic Universe. Throw in some related ideas, but use this as a base or at least a theme.

I just bought various Kung Fu, BTILC figs from Studio Miniatures, and others to do a Big Trouble in Little China game; I have figs for some polar activities ala The Thing; I bought the Roddy Rowdy Piper figures and have aliens to do They Love!; and have a Snake Pliskin and "survivor/gang" figures to try Escape From New York.

For rules, I have Savage Worlds (Showdown) or various Ganesha Games sets to use. I am leaning toward Ganesha because of simplicity.

Where can I get "modern" street/buildings? I have tons of medieval and fantasy, some gothic sci-fi and ruins stuff, and tons of outdoor terrain. I need contemporary buildings and interiors, though.

Black Site Studios and 4Ground…both have repainted modern buildings/houses kits. Also check Crescent Root Studios for pre-painted—no assembly required. I have a lot (most) from all these outfits and love ‘em all!

O Scale railroad buildings would work.

There is a new boardgame of big trouble with a full line of minis.

My favorite John Carpenter movie to turn into a Reel Wars game is Ghosts of Mars.

I thought the Rowdy Roddy movie was "They Live," but "They Love" sounds interesting.

Our local club uses Ganesha Game for lots of episodes: Gunga Din, Magnificent 7 (original), Seven Samurai, Wake Island, besides the usual fantasy types. Simple but elegant.

Typos.

I know the Board game for BTLC, but the minis aren't worth the price tag for it on EBay.

Bobgnar: Which Ganesha games for Gunga Din and Mag 7?

Song of Bugles and Beasties: Flying Lead with some mods from other Song games.

Song of six-shooters and bandits: Flying Lead and some mods

Bobgnar: I found "Flying Lead", but nothing on "Song of Bugles and Beasties" and "Song of Six Shooters and Bandits". Can you direct me to them?
