Please help me ID these. Trying to turn a toy soldier collection into hobby money and I thought It'd help if I knew what they were: #1 Some Tanks
#2 US Troopers (Marines?) with netted helmets.
Got a bunch in blue also. #3 No Base figures. Maybe Ideal?
#4 US troops. Bases have little tabs on them.
#5 Tepees. Marx Maybe?
#6 Truck second down from left. What is it?
#7 Tarps and Trees and such.
#8 Are these Marx accessories?
Thanks in advance for any advice you all can offer. |

I can help with some. The first group of soldiers look like old Marx figures. That second group without bases are definitely Lido. Can't help with that first group of armor or the teepees. Yes, I would say the accessories are probably Marx. The halftrack, cannon and loose turret are Marx as well. Hope this helps. |

Thanks! Did Marx make more than one size and style of US trooper! I have some that I know are Marx US also, but they're larger and a bit different. |

Pretty sure the trees are Marx too. |

I think the Army and Marine figures were different, but the same size. |

The "tabs" on the bases in #4 are untrimmed flash around the pour holes, common enough in the '50's and '60's. Teepees may be MMC. |

#2 may be chinese re-casts. Check Dollar Tree to see if they look the same. |

Thanks folks, Here's where things stand so far. -I'm pretty sure the #2's aren't recasts, they have better detail than the dollar tree stuff, and came in this lot with lots of old Marx and nothing that appears to predate the 80's. Still a mystery though as they are smaller than The Marx USA that I have. -Good to know about the Airfix in 1 and 6, Thanks! Was there a mounting bracket to secure the gun to the SPG? -I'll follow up on the MMC lead for the teepees. -I looked it up and I agree that the baseless figs are probably LIDO. If anyone has any leads for #2 and #4 I'd appreciate it, those are the last large groups I want to nail down before putting this stuff up again.
Thanks again for the assistance. |
