Being a huge fan of proper Victorian horror I wait with bated breath this series !!
I just hope there will be at least one scene in the series with heavy fog?

Hope it's going to be better than the recent adaptations of the War of the worlds and A Christmas carol.

War of the Worlds was awful but Christmas Carol was excellent.

We shall see? In the trailer there are a couple scenes that make me raise my eyebrows. The Elite nun squad is one that comes to mind. Perhaps it is a dream sequence?

If it's made by the BBC, I would bet on it being PC crap. Frankly almost every historical show they have done for the last few years has been terrible. Which is sad since they once set the bar for great shows and movies.

I thought Wolf Hall was incredible, that was BBC?

Worzel Gummidge was good.

I thought the 1977 BBC version was great link

BBC….. terrible? Seriously? Sure they are very hit and miss at times but they still consistently produce the best drama on TV. I get hacked off when historical "purists" condemn dramatical representation, if you can't stand anachronism then stick to something really accurate like History Channel productions, or Vikings! Lol

Worzel was superb, but I believe that was ITV?

I managed about half an hour of the first episode before giving up and watching Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee in the Hammer classic.
