Lol! Love the comment "Here's a hint for ESR, which bases died roll on 2 D6's – DONT ROLL TWO ONES. Something always really bad happens." The more '1's' you roll, the worse things should be in any game :)

I love ESR rules. I have been playing Napoleonics since the early 60s. These are my favorite. To me they are the very best balance I have ever seen between playability and historical accuracy. They also allow each player to command a corps with the battalion being the maneuver element yet finish the game with several corps on a side within 4-6 hours.

ESR is a good set of rules, different from a few others that I've tried in the past.
