It's hard to argue "morality" when your Nazi opponents were genocidal butchers & the Germans were complicit in their rise & retention of power.

A more interesting question is whether the bombing campaign was worth the men & machines used for it.

I know the cognoscenti (eg Max Horton)believed that if some of the effort was channelled towards Coastal Command & even bombing the Uboat pens in France, the result would have paid dividends.
