Paris Leg of the 2019 Good, Bad and Ugly Tournament

Myths and Legends 2019 which took place on November 23rd in Ballainvilliers near Paris did provide a lot of fun to all participants. Each participant did play 6 games, with nobody winning or losing all their games. Here are the results :

And here's a picture of the Invisible army.

Best army GBnUIT
Jean Pierre Rivière with his "Anti-Greta" army won the competition of the best themed army. He did recycle toys of his youth in a stunning HOTT army which easily won the vote competition. Anti-Greta is an army solely made of evil polluters emitting huge quantities of CO2 and toxic particles and phenolic gases! This is their aim in life and great is their joy at being so good at it! But scaring Greta is only an amusement. The real business is slaying foes. Unfortunately, on the battle field, its lack of bad going troops did cause him a few problems, but nevertheless, well done Jean Pierre ! I am not sure whether the poor Grata Thurnberg would appreciate his highly polluting army….  His composition was :

Thomas Martin with the fortress of his "Mythological Japanese" army painted in 1970's style won the competition of the best themed fortress.

As I am posting this on behalf of the Paris team, I want to share that Claude and his team joined the tournament this year, and have already been a great addition to the tournament. As I do every year with this event I cannot help but be amazed at just how creative the players around the world can be. I genuinely love seeing the players, the various armies and the games. For me at least it makes the world just a tad bit smaller, and form experience I can tell you, that one can go to another place, city, country and sit down to enjoy a game of HOTT. And that, is the purpose of this tournament – to share a common pleasure, with people of different languages, and even those who drive on the wrong side of the road….sorry couldn't help myself.

I will close with saying that the 2020 tournament is already well under way, the theme has been announced, and Claude and his team of players have already signed up to take part again next year!!!!
