Ken's Die-cast Chop Shop and Guns is a Friend of Gaslands which may not be there next year. Ken Overby has had to leave home, is in financial difficulties, and is a maker of excellent accessories; some weapons, but mostly his incredible wheels. This business is failing, and he doesn't have a day job to back it up, so desperately needs business.

Trouble is, he only sells via PMs on Faceplant:

Check out the picture gallery to see the products. Without much business, this producer will be gone before next April.

Well, if your a friend, tell him he needs to sort his sales channel(s) out.

Facebook isn't gonna cut it.

If he desperately needs business, has he considered etsy? Or having a website? Because there is NOTHING I want badly enough to let Facebook get its tentacles into me.

I could maybe use a couple of vehicles. Let me know when he wants to do business.

I'm not into 20mm Post Apocalypse, but I agree with both Bigby and Robert. He really needs a proper web presence. Lots of folks are reluctant to get involved with Facebook.

I buy 1/72 sci-fi stuff off Etsy often. Seems people are always open to rescaling and there are several Gaslands vendors already making stuff in scale there. It might turn things around for him.

Does anyone in the hobby have a business that is successful solely based on facebook/facebook sales? Serious question. It seems like an impossible way to make a living.

The gaslands site has quite a list of approved manufacturers of accessories for the game separated by country. Also seems like a crowded market to try to make a living.

He's trying to make a living selling resin bits for $5 USD a pop? I can't even imagine what kind of profit he's eeking out of that let alone his hourly wage. Time to listen to the free market and find other work…
