Wow, look what I found accidentally, with a little surfing early this morning.

This looks to be pretty good, though with lots of detail, it'll take time to get a decent grasp on the rules, and may slow games down a bit. Still, it looks to be very good for smaller, man-to-man, or man-to-alien combat.

I'm curious to see how it compares to the "At Close Quarters" rules by BITS, which is apparently an update also, to the old Snapshot, and AHL (Azhanti High Lightning) rules for Traveller.

Enhanced Snapshot says it takes ideas from all three sets of rules.

"At Close Quarters" is available as a PDF from Wargame Vault, apparently, for $5.00 USD.

Anyone have experience with any of these sets?

Also, I'm curious about the dice used for AHL, since the dice "to-hit" numbers are a lot higher than for Snapshot, so looks like it uses a different dice convention than Snapshot's 2D6 die rolls. Does AHL use 1D20, 2D10, 3D6 (or more), or add in a character skill rating to the die roll too, when rolling for hits?

Do AHL, or At Close Quarters provide QRS' for the rules?

Anyone have a QRS for Enhanced Snapshot?

Never seen or played At Close Quarters. Snapshot and AHL are very similar. I've played Snapshot a bit. Lots of fun.

AHL is 2D6
just about everything in Traveller is

characters in AHL do get a skill bonus
and some weapons get an auto fire bonus

the big difference is
in Snapshot the armor changes the to hit rolls
in AHL armor does not change the to hit roll
but is moved to the damage roll

I think TNE2300 summed it up well.

Thanks to Thresher01 for the resource, which I immediately downloaded for later reading pleasure.

If these rules are intended to be compatible with Classic Traveller, they'll probably work with Mongoose Traveller without much work.
