Pics from GigaHistorical Day Saturday 12/7 at GigaBites Café. This is a great event. Probably the closest Atlanta gets to a historical Con. Except that its free and has a great on site food and beverage selection.
We had a War of Jenkins Ear skirmish, 6mm Shiloh, an air game over the Philippines 12.1941, War of the Roses, SAGA demos, Clash of Spears Demos, Knights and Knaves, Modern skirmish in the Horn of Africa, a couple of Normandy WWII skirmish, Battle of the Bulge game, an Art de Guerre tourney, a charity raffle and probably something else I forgot!

The 3x3 game was Kurt's Shiloh game using this homebrew rules and 6mm minis

Anything Mr. Luther posts is always worth a look. :-)

That 3x3 game from Kurt looks really good! All games looks good but that one caught my eye.

Great to see a thriving shop and gaming venue. Every town should have one of these (we wish).

Never been even close to this venue, but an event like this depends on an active and vigorous gaming community too. Well done to everyone involved.

Yes. Our Game Days are really pretty cool.

FlyXwire16 Dec 2019 5:22 a.m. PST

Looks like a Mini-Con!

Microbiggie16 Dec 2019 11:50 a.m. PST

It pretty much is. Except its free. And has a great assortment of beer and cider and food on site.

FlyXwire16 Dec 2019 3:13 p.m. PST

Mark,
I've been organizing a once-a-month games day here in St. Louis (now at Miniature Market's new retail store), but we draw for our usual four games just 16 players on average……but beer, aha!……sounds like maybe you've got a secret ingredient!? :)

Microbiggie17 Dec 2019 2:30 p.m. PST

Hey, that's still a good way to introduce new players and rule systems. And the fact that it is a consistent event means that people can count on something happening. It is really nice when you see some of the folks who were just coming in to see what the games were about are willing to run games.
Kudos on growing the hobby!

Looks very well attended!
