I read an article and author interview in today's newspaper about this book – All Blood Runs Red by Phil Keith and Tom Clavin.

It is the story of American Eugene Bullard, a black pilot who served with the French Air Service in WW1, then went on to fight with the French resistance in WW2. Looks to be an enthralling account of his life.

I've put this on my "to read" list.
