"The first look at Nat Geo's new historical series BARKSKINS. It is a behind the scenes look of the small screen adaptation of Annie Proulx's historical novel. With
the cast including David Thewlis, Christian Cooke, Aneurin Barnard and Marcia Gay Harden, the series follows a disparate group of outcasts navigating the brutal hardships, competing interests, and tangled loyalties at the crossroads of civilization in 1600s New France, where the war to escape their past and remake themselves is cast against the vast and unforgiving wilds of North America. Stay tuned for more pics and a possible trailer this winter and don't forge to tune in tomorrow for an especially lavish spotlight on an upcoming epic series!"

I am super excited for this. Some of my own ancestors came to Quebec in the 17th century.
