Right, jumping on the science fictioning WWII stuff bandwagon been thinking about using PSC 15mm figures as base for creating an infantry force to go with my scrap-build project – and even before that. Ages ago I was thinking about producing a neo-Soviet force based on WWII Soviets from PSC inspired by Copplestone's neo-Soviets. Pro's hard plastic which is easy to cut and glue and GS, con's some of them look quite spindly – ie accurately proportioned, compared to a lot of other 15mm sci-fi figures.

Any thoughts, anyone tried this, IIRC its been floated by other posters?

Just buy some QRF West Germans – Bundeswehr.

Some have RPGs with very large heads for anti-tank work, and their weapons and kit make them look suitable for Planetary Defense Force personnel.

Paint as desired, for your Sci-Fi look.

More than one WW2 weapon has been converted to an energy weapon by the addition of a bit of thread between the weapon and some object on the miniature (backpack, canteen, gas mask bag) that can be the power pack. Maybe trim the weapon a little with an X-acto knife. Paint appropriately.

Here are some Battlefront Soviets that I sci-fi'ed by adding visors (coffee-stirrer straws that I clipped up), antennas, and then 3D-printed backpacks and heavy weapons from my webstore on Shapeways. I even managed to make a couple drone handlers!

Cool, pretty much what I'm aiming for, like the drone handlers – though it looks like someone bought along their toy OH-6 helicopter!

Though I succumbed to a Black Friday box of PSC Cold War Soviets.

Yeah, I bought the OH-6 from PicoArmor, and the other is a fleet-scale starfighter from Brigade Models. Good times!

Got my PSC Soviet's and very nice too, like the style, no idea about their accuracy (though the same kneeling guy on the support weapons sprues has a slightly bent AK).

Might just use them straight from the box as low tech militia!

I would recommend the Team Yankee Israel Pereh Anti-Tank unit. Just cut the barrel off or the T-44 model
