So part of an ongoing technical exercise, one that will give me a German WW2 force I can be proud of at the end. Learning and trying lots of 'serious' modeller painting and weathering techniques as I paint up a German Heer company for Normandy 1944. First up in this batch were some guns and mortars:
And then what so far must be my best effort, this Stug III:
Which admittedly took something like 12 hours to get to this state. Full(er) details can be found on my Blog: Guns: link Stug: link But we're not yet at the full tutorials stage, I'm still only learning! Enjoy :-) |

Very nice! Love the StuG – my favourite German AFV ever! |

Very nicely done – I'm a big fan of dirty looking and used equipment when I am modeling so seeing some of those details is nice. |

I think the PAK40 is brilliant. Of course every A/T gun on the German side was an 88mm, or so the legend goes. I somehow never realised just how big the 75mm gun was, but now on a low profile, easier concealed, carriage. A Stug simply has to be covered in foliage if it is to be seen west of Berlin. Great track painting |
