Hello everyone , What would you change in List No. 5 of the Army List book 1420-1700 for wargames reseach group wargame by George Gush of March 1984? Thank you. |

You are going back quite a bit here. I have that book but I doubt many others have! :) Barry |

I would have thought that rules and lists from that era would be long since consigned to the archives. I sold several of them from a deceased gamers collection some time ago and barely got a penny for them. |

I think you could change the minimums and maximums for retinue bows and bills as there's not much room for manoeuvre for those who favour a 1:1 ratio. Though, if you and the people you game with favour a higher ratio of bows to bills, then that's not a problem :) |

'To the Strongest' has better army lists. |

@ Warspite1: With Rabelaise must be the last 3 to have it.. @ JimDuncanUK: I only like what is before 1985. @ Rabelais: Look at the bottom of the page, the dismounted M.A.A… @ ochoin: I only like what is before 1985. |

@ Paskal Your reply is not understood. You cannot assume that many of us have a 35-year-old army list. As luck would have it I DO have both the first and the second edition of the Gush Renaissance army lists. But I have a big library and I never thrown anything away! Barry |

@Warspite1 :I do not understand your answer too. I was jokingly saying that we had to be three to have it – you , Rabelais and me -, so I do not suppose that many of us have this old army list of 1984. Luckily, me too I have the first (of 1978) and the second edition (of 1984) lists of the Gush Renaissance Army, as well as the 1976, 1979 and 1979 editions with 1983 amendments of the Rule. In fact I have so many that I do not even know what I have… |

Should say I don't actually have it, just looked up a copy online….. |

@ Rabelais: Oh ok, that's why you did not see the dismounted M.A.A. are armed with spears ??? @ Warspite1: So, we are two to have this old army list book of 1984.LOL |

@ All: Oh, I forgot, look also at how the Bretons are classified in this list for this period – LOL-. |

Yes it is old and not many other people have it or use it. The chances of getting much discussion are poor. Barry |

Oh dear !: Damn! Damn ! Damn it! The WOTR "specialist" of this forum will not be happy because there are only two longbowmen per billmen in the army list N ° 5 of the "Gush":'( |
