I have the opportunity to purchase some Old Glory Second Edition ACW figures and would like to check with members as to whether they will reasonably match with Perry plastic figures, which I mostly have. I really like the look of the OG figures but have only seen some photos, not the actual figures. Also wondered what other manufacturer the OG figures would blend in reasonably with in an army. I don't usually mix unit so that won't be an issue. Thanks for your help. |

They would work pretty well. I don't mix them in same unit with the Perry plastics, but they are fine on the tabletop with other regiments. OD 2nd works very well with Sash & Saber figures, and I mix them in same units a lot. |

Yes, they are just about the same height and scale well but more detailed than the Perry stuff Don |

Well the OG 2nd Edition figures arrived and I'm impressed, especially as this was a range I hadn't previously considered. I like the combination of detail, anatomy (they really look to me like ACW troops rather than someone who's spent a lot of time in the gym) and fluidity of movement. Having now painted up my first half dozen, I have found them quite easy to paint with good, open stances allowing easy access for the brush. I'll definitely be picking up more boxes and thanks for the advice which encouraged me to get them in the first place. |

Is it just the photo or do those muskets look huge? Mark |
