Is War and Empires rule book available too the public yet?

Redcurrant23 Nov 2019 10:48 a.m. PST

No – The last update that I had (as a kickstarter backer) was that they had received the final draft version, and were hoping for the full edition soon.

Do we know anything about it? Is it unit based (FOG) or element based (DBA) or big base based (Impetus) or squares (Strongest) or something completely different?

From looking at the FAQ on the kickstarter, I believe that the rules will be unit based.

The bases will be the same as those used for FOG.

I had no clue they were releasing rules… I guess I'll have to order a book… impossible to pass on that nice book :)

I was wondering if anything came of this ruleset. Spoke to the author and Forged in Battle a number of times to no avail. I suppose it died a death of to projects to do for them.
Not unless anyone can shed any more light?

Likewise got no reply to any emails asking about the rules. I no longer hope to see anything of these appearing. I can rationalise the kickstarter giving me a good amount of well sculpted figures at below market price, but the deathly silence about the rules sits a bit badly with me – I'd be happy if the rule pledge amount (£20) was converted to store credit but no suggestion of this 4 years on so I've moved on, but reluctant to spend on their product since.
