I would have liked to be around 23 years old in 1923, too young for WWI, and too old for WWII, but alive in an amazing era. |

My father was born in 1902. Slightly too young for WWI, but his older brothers served. By the time WWII came along he was married, had 2 kids, and a government job (mailman), so about as safe as you could get. So he died in an accident in 1950. |
