I quite liked this movie! Wish they would do a sequel.

I couldn't find anything recent about a sequel, did it ever come about?

Happened to rewatch the movie again last night

"Looks like we're getting into some heavy Bleeped text

SSgt. Michael Nantz: It's been my experience, Lieutenant, heavy Bleeped text is highly overrated."

A little different for me now. My boy is a Marine Lieutenant.

Aliens don't know AirLand battle. If they did they'd feign a beach invasion and hit Hollywood from the east from the air. They also would knock out the aqueducts and powerlines that come in from the north and LA would implode.

Their air fighting was interesting. Highly technologically advanced drones, but it was made clear they had very little use or understanding of actual air tactics, much less strategic use. The movie never got into the alien's social order or even intelligence beyond the technology, so it was unknown if they even comprehended the importance of power lines on earth. Similarily, they understood wireless communications, but were completely blind to wired communications, much less power.
