"A couple of months ago I was sent a proof copy of The Great Italian Wars 1: The Expedition of Charles VIII into Italy and the Battle of Fornovo which is due to be published soon by Helion and Company in a rather exciting series of books called From Retinue to Regiment which already include, Richard III and the Battle of Bosworth and Tanaka 1587. Japan's Greatest Unknown Samurai Battle and will soon include volumes examining The Army of the Swabian League. I'm sure there will be more to come in this series…"

I'm told my pre-ordered copy of the book is due to arrive tomorrow. If it's as good as expected, it may find its way straight to the top of the reading pile.

On my preorder Amazon (US) still shows the release date as Feb 2, 2020. If I get it sooner that will be a nice surprise.

Up until yesterday, my Amazon account was showing expected delivery today … today, I got an email saying "oops – we have no delivery date". So who knows, maybe February is more realistic after all.

Order placed for this and the other books in the series. Very much looking forward to them. I have Signore Prendozani's other books on Anghiari, Ceresole, and Caravaggio. Very informative and well done.
