Wondering if anyone wants to take the commission of setting up a Russian force defence against a Prussian Corp with a British / Hanoverian Division ( some British highlander and Wallmoden's forces). Thought of trying this, the Russians will have a static defence, possible reinforcement for counter attacks. I could set up both but wondered if it might make a more interesting game.
The Russian side is from hill to background town |

I will give you the force schedule, need what units are to defend where, can specify reserves. Green felt are woods, the stone area is a bolder field ( think like Devil's Den) impassable to artillery and cavalry. You have Russian IV Corp lead by LG Tolstoy, the 11th Division is normal 2 brigades musketeer, 1 Jaeger 2 light artillery 1 position. 23rd Division is weak 1 musketeer brigade, 1 mixed, 1 converged grenadier and foot Cossacks, 1 light battery but reinforced with 2 position batteries. Russian German legion of 6 infantry battalions, 2 Hussars and 2 horse batteries II Cavalry Corp with 2 light brigades and its horse battery 2 additional horse batteries from reserve. Bavarian division 2 brigades of 4 musketeer 1 light battalion also with 2 light batteries 1 heavy battery. Between the encampment and town are 2 facine walls, 4 x 1/2 revetments, 1 full revetment for artillery or infantry and stop the hill bolder field is a stone wall that can't be moved, the others can go anywhere. Forces can be designated to go anywhere from the road to top of picture. |

The Prussians took the hill, the 9th Silesian Ldw Regt took a RD horse battery head on then had to form square to beat a fresh 2nd RD Hussar regt.
The Bavarians held long but once attrition was taking its toll as well as a brigad of Russian Dragoons on their flank were defeated it was a matter of being defeated in detail. |
