Eurodance the greatest thing in music since Beethoven, with such classics as Baby don't hurt me and Barbie Girl.
Apparently it's already on it's way back in Australia, with Aqua and several other brands planing big tours.

So do you expect to be listening to a lot of Eurodance in the future?

Here are some well known examples.

Without clicking any of those links I can safely and emphatically answer, ‘no.'

Only if I'm being tortured by some terrorist group.

"making a comeback" implies that it went away. It won't be any worse than most of the stuff being cranked out today.

And what exactly has this to do with wargaming?

I think the most recent music I listen to voluntarily was written by Jerry Goldsmith. Nothing I hear in restaurants, shopping malls church or TMP links suggests that I need to rethink that. And MajorB is right. Nothing to fight or march to here. Not even anything to paint to.

Robert, you have excellent taste! So many great film scores from which to choose.

How does a song like "Barbie Girl" relate to war gaming?

Who can honestly say they've not had their Action Man/G.I.Joe figures in hand to hank combat against their sisters Barbie/Sandy/Julie dolls?

The resultant sibling screaming match, the shoving and tussling, parents arrival like UN peace keepers. The DMZ across the living room. The stony silence and venomous looks… your own personal cold war with the Mutual Assured Destruction scenario of her scratching your David Bowie records but you melting her Donny Osmond albums?

Ahh, the 70's, such joyous times.

Did it ever go away? It's half my music library. Why didn't anyone tell me it went away?

Barbie Girl….absolute classic.

Arguably "Baby don't hurt me" can be taken as a critique of violence against civilians, a topic often neglected within wargaming.

Discuss.

I always end up envisioning Will Ferrell & Chris Kattan (The Roxbury Guys)bopping their heads to the Haddaway number.

Me. I don't have a sister.

At my age, I think I might well do myself an injury trying to dance like the people in the videos.

At my age, I think I might well do myself an injury trying to dance like the people in the videos.

Isn't that true for all dances, except maybe a really slow waltz?
