I ran this scenario, loosely based on the classic "Guards Counterattack" of SL and ASL fame.

The 3 players were all new to historical miniatures and ASL. They have experience with FFG games, D&D, eurogames, etc. but this seemed to have interested them and they all agreed they'd love to play again.

Very NICE game board. Especially when you consider it is for 20mm figures.
However, don't you think the squad stands look overly large for just 3 figures and that smaller stands would fit the hexes better when multiple stands are involved. Other than that, looks fantastic and I applaud your efforts!

Thanks BuckeyeBob. I like the aesthetic of the base for ability to add little walls, terrain, etc. Basically make is a mini-diorama. I feel your concern RE hex to base size, however, and my next project will use larger hexes. More to come…

Wow! Haven't played SL since the late 1970's. Would play your game in a heartbeat. gorgeous! Did you trace LOS with a thread/string, from hex center, to hex center? Curious if there were any challenges in playing the board game rules for hexes, with full 3-D terrain and models. Cheers!
