"I did not expect this one to be so disgustingly graphic, but it is: BBC has released the first gruesome trailer for their new DRACULA series which will also air on Netflix. Claes Bang plays the count himself next to always lovely John Heffernan as Jonathan Harker, Joanna Scanlan, Dolly Wells, Morfydd Clark, Lujza Richter, Jonathan Aris, Sacha Dhawan, Nathan Stewart Jarrett, Catherine Schell, Youssef Kerkour, Clive Russell and Mark Gatis"

As long as it doesn't make vampires sexy, misunderstood teens filled with angst at having to suck blood!

Vampires have always been associated with sex. However the depiction of sexuality in the Victorian Age was much more subdued that it is today. I haven't seen the Twilight films or read the books. I refuse to and I have an extreme disdain for literally ever actor who was a lead in those films. The fact that Vamp Boy, whatever his name is, is going to be the next Batman makes me want to scream! Special shout out to Kristen Stuart, I can't stand her, I don't find her attractive, and I firmly believe that her acting capabilities are $h!7. I was an actor in high school myself, so for whatever that gets me in being able to recognize a talentless actor I'll take it.

The problem is that every thing in our society today is so over the top from the last generation, but then again, isn't that how it has been over the past 100 or so years? It's like Western Society is a ticking time bomb approaching the events depicted in The Purge. So, I'm looking forward to the first real attempt to depict an accurate representation of the Count since Francis Ford Coppola's effort. Now that I think about it, his effort was not well received over all, despite having some brilliant moments. So where does he get off siding with Martin Scorsese about Marvel movies?

Better to not get me started. I think that might be a topic for another thread.
